Veste Vert™

Already a fan of Ruffwear products and this Vest is no exception! Bought this for my 2 year old Mini-Aussie, Rosie. The quality of materials and its construction is second to none. Ruffwear gear is genuinely engineered/designed for great fit and functionality, and that is what sets it apart from all others! Great for our daily Winter walks whether icy rain, snow, wind…. whatever! She loves it and so do I! Fits nicely over her Ruffwear Flagline harness and is a breeze to put on her. I purchased the rain Sun Shower raincoat a year ago. It's been great being able to walk her on a rainy days without her getting soaked to the bone. Only issue was sizing. The X-Small fits great around the chest, but cuts too short around her backside. So when buying the Vert I decided to go up a size. I had to cinch in some of the fabric around the chest with a safety pin, but besides that I think it fits ok. I really like how it fully covers her back legs. Very happy with the purchase.

After trying at least 6 other vests, the Vert was the ONE! Others were too long, too short, too loose around the middle. Bryce is a 40 lb. Catahoula mix, not naturally outfitted for New England winter. He's got a deep chest and small waist. The chest piece keeps the vest in place but it stops at the right place - no peeing into the vest-LOL. He and the vest are always toasty warm when I take it off. Perfect that it is also waterproof as he hates cold rain on his back. The only thing he complains about are the back leg straps-- too tight for his big hams. I will try adding some elastic to see if that helps. Although I expect to have this vest for a long time, I can foresee adding another Ruffwear piece to his wardrobe next year.
