Palisades™ Schlafponcho

I was skeptical this would be much better than my dog’s regular jacket for camping, but it is. We camp in cool, damp shoulder-season conditions, and the poncho keeps him warmer at night and around camp. The loose coverage works well even when he shifts positions. I like that it packs into a built-in stuff sack and the bustle feature.

For reference, my dog is a 30 kg/70 lb golden retriever with a 31" chest and just fits a medium length-wise. The leg loops are a bit tight even when adjusted, but the L/XL was much too large.

Suggested improvements: more reflective details (and durable ones), more adjustment in the leg loops (adjustable length of the loop itself as well as a longer runway), more colours, and separate Large and XL sizes.

We recently took our poodle on a spring camping trip and we used the Palisades Sleep Poncho to help keep him warm in the evening at over night. It was a great product and kept our guy super warm and comfortable. Can’t recommend it enough!

This was an amazing invention! It worked so well, my dog stayed warm and happy all night long and didn’t wake me up to get her back into a sleeping bag when she moved around. If you’re in doubt- buy it. It’s amazing.
