Ruffwear's apparel features an active, tailored fit that hugs close to your dog's body, designed to move with their natural range of motion. Measurement is determined by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the widest part of the rib cage. Coverage may fit slightly shorter or longer depending on your dog’s proportions. If between sizes, size up for a more relaxed fit, or down for a more snug fit.

When it comes to exploring in and around water, the Undercoat™ Water Jacket offers warmth for dogs who can't resist making a splash in the colder, shoulder seasons or who are prone to getting cold when wet. It's an amphibious jacket that thrives in wet environments, using a formfitting laminated neoprene for insulation that stretches and moves with dogs as they romp and swim. Super-soft, articulated stretch StormSleeves™ are engineered to seal in warmth while maintaining freedom of movement.

Can be worn standalone as an insulative piece, or layered under the Float Coat™ Life Jacket if buoyancy is also needed.

Laminated neoprene body is flexible and provides insulation in wet environments.

Articulated stretch StormSleeve™ seals in warmth and allows for natural swimming motion.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Undercoat is Formfitting with a zippered closure and sleeves for core heat retention

Formfitting Regular Fit Relaxed Fit
Snug and conforms to the body’s contours. Can be worn standalone or layered under Relaxed apparel. Tailored with a bit of wiggle room. Can be worn standalone or layered under Relaxed apparel. A loose fit that drapes the body. Can be worn standalone or over Regular or Formfitting apparel. Works well for hard-to-fit dog shapes and sizes.
