Ruffwear's apparel features an active, tailored fit that hugs close to your dog's body, designed to move with their natural range of motion. Measurement is determined by your dog’s chest girth, measured around the widest part of the rib cage. Coverage may fit slightly shorter or longer depending on your dog’s proportions. If between sizes, size up for a more relaxed fit, or down for a more snug fit.

It's windproof, waterproof, and ready for whatever's in the forecast. The Sun Shower™ is a dog raincoat that keeps your pup dry when you run into wet conditions during outdoor pursuits. The oversized storm collar folds up for additional weather protection and the leash portal on the back fits over most harnesses.

Whether you're blazing the trails or exploring the backcountry, leg loops provide a secure fit option in windy weather, while reflective accents create visibility in low-light conditions. The relaxed fit and side-release buckles make it easy to put on and take off, and the extended vest means more coverage for your dog's hips and thighs.

While each style of Ruffwear apparel is designed for its intended use, this guide generalizes our fits in three ways. The Sun Shower is a Relaxed Fit with extended vest coverage and side-release buckles for easy on/off.

Bought this on a whim while I was buying booties at the Bend headquarters while on a road trip with Toby
It's mid summer and while I was there to buy booties for Toby, this raincoat sort of jumped out at me as something that he'd hate less than his other, stiffer, raincoat (and would give him better coverage). A week later, as we were getting ready to leave Seattle, the sky opened with thunder showers...
...Toby had no problem getting out to the car (and the only thing he hates more than raincoats is rain). This, like all Ruffwear gear fits my Standard Dachshund perfectly and there's room underneath it for his Climate Changer sweater and the loops make sure that his flanks and back end are covered and dry.

Perfect fit
The size small fits our Brittany perfectly. Love the leg strap to prevent the coat from shifting when he's on the move.
